Zoom for Telehealth

The information found in this section, Zoom for Telehealth, is only for telehealth UNLV Health Zoom accounts and will not work as expected for a SOM or non-telehealth UNLV Health user.

Log into Zoom:
Zoom Video Conferencing

Zoom for Telehealth is different from all other SOM/UNLV Health Zoom accounts. These are two separate instances of Zoom for two different purposes and do not have the same settings.

Log into your telehealth zoom account

  1. Open an Incognito window in Google Chrome

  2. Go to Zoom Video Conferencing

  3. Click Access HIPAA Zoom

  4. Authenticate with your ACE ID

  5. Launch your Zoom Personal Meeting Room and proceed with your telehealth appointments as usual.

Skip steps 1 and 2:

Use the Zoom Telehealth shortcut on your computer’s desktop.

This will automatically open UNLV’s Zoom website in an incognito window.

Once you are logged into your telehealth-only Zoom account, the process of starting meetings, admitting MAs, and admitting patients remains the same.

The only difference in the telehealth process is how you log into your account.

Launch your telehealth session

1

Once you are logged into Zoom, click Meetings on the left sidebar.

2

3

Click Start.

Both of your Zoom accounts (telehealth-only and standard) are linked to your ACE ID.

Failure to use the Incognito Window could result in logging into the incorrect Zoom account, meaning you would not be able to connect with your patients.

It is critical that you follow the outlined steps and use an Incognito window when accessing your telehealth-only Zoom account.

Use the Zoom Telehealth desktop shortcut, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+N to open an Incognito window, or use the Google Chrome options menu.
