Security Key or Biometric Authenticator
Security Keys or Biometric Authenticators are an additional Multi-Factor Authentication method that can be setup for your ACE account.
They are also referred to as Passkeys.
Passkeys utilize “something you have,” like a phone or tablet, to authenticate
Passkeys do not require an additional application
You may need to enable Bluetooth on your device for some apps
These should be setup as an additional or backup authentication method only.
Since they do not properly authenticate with all ACE-connected apps, they are not the preferred method to use.
Okta Verify is the authentication method recommended by UNLV OIT and SOM IT.
