The use of a YubiKey is not recommended unless it is absolutely necessary for the individual.

YubiKeys are small and easy to lose.

YubiKey Assignment

  • YubiKeys are only assigned if the employee does not have a cell phone capable of supporting Okta Verify or Google Authenticator applications

What do I do if I lose my YubiKey?

  • You will lose all access to your ACE ID, including UNLVMail, all Google Services, Workvivo, WebCampus, Zoom if you lose your YubiKey.

  • If your YubiKey is lost, stolen, or broken, you are required to make an appointment with the SOM Help Desk.

  • Due to the sensitive nature of the device, a YubiKey cannot be given to another employee to pass on to you.
