Connect to BYOD Wi-Fi

The BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) wireless networks allow employees and students to connect personal devices for internet access.

These networks are available at all School of Medicine and UNLV Health locations.

❗ They provide internet-only access (no internal network services).


Choose Your Device Type

Follow the steps below for your device to connect to:

  • KSOM BYOD (at the Medical Education Building, 625 Shadow Lane)

  • UNLVMED BYOD (at other SOM and UNLV Health locations)

🔄 SOM Password Changes

🔐 If you change your SOM password, you must update it on every device connected to the BYOD Wi-Fi to avoid your account locking.


⚠️ Important Notes

  • BYOD and Guest Wi-Fi networks do not support PSK devices
    (e.g., game consoles, smart TVs, and IoT devices)
