Computer - Use Webex Calling

 

First-time users, MUST log into the Cox Business Portal and change your password before logging into the Webex application.

Logging In

Launch the Webex app, enter your Cox username, and click Next.

Please note that your phone account is not your UNLV email address.

It is yourphonenumber@cox.com

The Cox Business portal will load. Enter your password and click Submit.

Receiving Calls

When you receive an incoming call, an alert will pop up in the bottom-right of your screen.

You can answer, decline, or silence (bell icon) the incoming call.

Decline: Automatically sends caller to voicemail

Silence: Silences the ring on your end, but continues to ring for the caller until taken to voicemail

 


Making Calls

There are three ways to start a phone call from the desktop application.

  1. Dial Pad

  2. Call History

  3. Contacts

Dial Pad

  1. Click the Phone icon on the left toolbar.

  2. Dial the number.

  3. Click the Audio icon.

Call History

  1. Click the Phone icon on the left toolbar.

  2. Hover over the number you want to call, and click the Audio icon.

Contacts

  1. Click on the Contacts icon on the left toolbar.

  2. Hover over the contact you want to call and click the Audio icon.


On an Active Call

Call on Hold

When on an active call, press the options icon (the three dots).

Click Hold to put the call on hold.

When ready to return to the call, click Resume.

Transferring Calls

When on an active call, press the options icon (the three dots).

Choose Transfer.

Dial the number you want to transfer the call to and choose Audio.

Conferencing Calls

Voicemail

To check your personal voicemail, click on the Voicemail icon at the top of the call tab. You’ll see a red push notification to indicate that you have new message(s) waiting.

 

Signing Out

In the top-left corner, click your user icon.

Choose Sign Out from the menu.

Click Sign Out.
