Webex Event

Webex Events are best for larger virtual events that involve a host or group of panelists presenting information or discussing together, but the average participant is just a viewer.

  • You can enable and configure chat and Q&A features as desired, but your regular participants are otherwise not interacting during the event.

  • One-way communication. Ideal for webinars, panels, conferences.

  • Distinct user roles with specific permissions: Host, Panelist, Attendee.

Webex Personal Room

The Personal Room works similarly to a regular meeting, but is unique in a few ways.

  • The link never changes, and meetings using the personal room do not need to be scheduled in advance.

  • This is ideal for meetings like office hours, where students know that you will be in your personal room during a specific time frame and they can join freely.

  • You can lock your personal room mid-meeting which enables a waiting room feature, allowing you to bring people in individually.
