Username changes can only be granted for one of the following reasons:

You legally change your name and have notified the following groups:

  1. Students: Office of the Registrar - (702)-895-3443

  2. Employees: Human Resources - (702)-895-3504

  3. Dual Roles: Contact both the Office of the Registrar AND Human Resources

Employees:

  1. Log into Workday, https://workday.nevada.edu/

  2. In the search bar type in “Change my legal name”

  3. From the Task list click the “Change My Legal Name” link

  4. Follow the setups;

    1. The legal name must match the social security card.

    2. Documentation will be required for a legal name change impacting first, middle, last name or suffix.

    3. The country field must be United States of America.

5. Once complete notify KSOM IT and we will assist with getting UNLVMed and UNLVmail accounts updated.

The email address or ACE ID created through the automated process is considered offensive.

  1. You have received harassing or stalking emails, unresolved through other means. If the conflict is with a UNLV student, please notify the Office of Student Conduct.

What happens when my username is changed?

  • Current account username/email address are updated. A new email address is not created.

  • Network file share (X drive), Google Drive, Google Mail are not impacted.

If you need to change your username for any of your accounts, follow the appropriate process.
