Having similar devices ensures that all equipment is compatible.
IT will gladly assist with facilitating your computer orders. To get this assistance, submit your orders through our Shared Services Business Operations form.
Computers for Incoming Employees:
New Employee - IT will provide one computer
Replacement Employee - Reuse computer from previous employee
Grant-funded Positions - The specific department will purchase the new computer/peripherals
The SOM IT Department will:
Review all submitted orders
We will supply from our inventory (if the requested items are available), and ensure that warranties and other requirements are accounted for.
Coordinate receiving and tagging of the assets
Installation of software and configuration of device(s).
Deliver and install the computer in the appropriate location
