When a caller uses your department main line number, it will ring to what is called a “hunt group.” A hunt group is a group of phones, which are known as group members. The call will ring simultaneously on all phones that are members of this group.
If a call is not answered, it will be routed to the department voicemail. Each phone that is a member of the hunt group will have access to this voicemail via a separate button on their physical phone.
To access the department voicemail, press the button next to the department VM label on the phone screen, then press the voicemail button on the lower left side of the phone.
Enter the PIN and you will have access. The PIN should be shared with all members of the hunt group.
Setting up your department voicemail
Pick up the line you want to set up
Press the voicemail button on the physical phone
Enter the default pin (269266#) on the keypad.
At the prompt, choose option 3 for voicemail greetings.
When you record the greeting, press *1 to return to the main menu.
Press 0341 on your keypad to change the PIN on the line you’re configuring.
When the changes are made, hang up the phone.
Note: To access department voicemail using the Webex calling application, you will need to dial the department number directly.
