The UNLVMED BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) wireless network is provided for you to connect your personal devices. It’s offered at all UNLV Medicine locations and provides you with internet access only. The use of the regular UNLVMED wireless network is restricted to UNLV Medicine devices.
Mac iOS (Apple iPhone/iPad)
Note: The screenshots below may not exactly match your device depending on your iOS version, but the steps will be similar.
From the home screen, select Settings.
Select Wi-Fi.
From the network list, select UNLVMED BYOD.
At the prompt, enter your UNLVMED username and password. Tap Join.
At the certificate prompt, choose Trust.

From the home screen, select Settings.
Tap Network & Internet, then Wi-Fi.
From the network list, select UNLVMED BYOD.
Tap Connect to network.
Update prompted fields and tap Connect.
EAP method: PEAP
CA certificate: Don’t validate
Identity: UNLVMED Username
Password: UNLVMED Password
If prompted, skip field “Anonymous Identity.”
Windows 10
In the lower-right corner of your screen, click the WiFi icon.
From the networks list, click UNLVMED BYOD.
Select Connect automatically.
Click Connect.
At the prompt, enter your UNLVMED username and password. Choose Connect.
Windows 7
Open Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center
In the task list (left side), choose Manage Wireless Networks.
Choose Change Adapter Settings.
Right-click on Wireless Network Connection. Choose Connect/Disconnect.
Double-click on UNLVMED BYOD.
At the prompt, enter your UNLVMED username and password. Choose Connect.
Mac OS
Click the Wifi symbol at the top of your screen.
Choose UNLVMED BYOD.
At the prompt, enter your UNLVMED username and password. Choose Join.
