BYOD Wi-Fi
Your SOM account (firstname.lastname) will continue to be used for access to UNLVMED BYOD Wi-Fi.
Please note that resetting your SOM password will break the connection between your personal devices and your SOM account. Forget the Wi-Fi network and reconnect with your new password. If your account is locked, contact the SOM Help Desk at 702-895-0451.
Google Sync
Google Sync saves your Google Chrome settings to your UNLVMail account. Easily save bookmarks, browsing history, passwords, and other browser settings.
This lets you log into Chrome on any computer, turn on Google Sync, and access these items quickly.
Network Drive
All files should be saved to either a network drive or Google Drive. Do not save any files on the desktop or anywhere else on the individual computer itself.
Saving to the network or Google allows you to access your files from multiple devices.
If you have any files saved on the computer, make sure they’re moved prior to your department’s move.
