KSOM VPN - Connect/Disconnect

The KSOM VPN allows you to connect to the KSOM network while you are off-site.

The KSOM VPN is used by both School of Medicine and UNLV Health employees.

You must install the client before attempting these instructions.

1	From the taskbar, click the AnyConnect Client icon. Click ^ to expand the taskbar to see all icons if necessary.
2	The AnyConnect client will open. Ensure the server name is showing, vpn.ksom.unlv.edu, and choose Connect.
3	When prompted, enter your SOM credentials: Username: firstname.lastname
4	Once connected, the AnyConnect icon will show a lock.

1	Double-click the Remote Desktop icon created during setup.
2	If prompted, enter your SOM username and password.

Hover your mouse at the top of the screen on the remote computer and a blue bar will appear.

Click the X to disconnect.

On the remote computer, open the Windows Start Menu. Click on the Profile Picture and choose Sign Out.

1	In the taskbar, right-click on the AnyConnect Client icon.
2	Choose Disconnect.
