Website Dynamic Content Explained

Events

The Calendar of Events is a central source for event information at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, managed by UNLV Web and Digital Strategy. 

Please note that events must be related to UNLV to be considered. Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV departments and units are responsible for submitting their own events to be featured on the school website. 

Before submitting an event, please review the Calendar Policies to ensure event eligibility and content standards.

When filling out the form, be sure to:

  • Indicate that you’d like the event added to the school of medicine calendar in the “Special Instructions” section.

  • Include the URL of your department or unit’s Events page (if applicable), so the event can be featured there as well.

Accomplishments

Accomplishments are announcements that highlight notable achievements related to the work or studies of UNLV faculty, staff, and students. These announcements are user-submitted and approved by the university’s editorial team.

Examples of accomplishments include:

  • Accreditation

  • Appointments/Elections

  • Exhibitions

  • Grants

  • Honors

  • Notable Achievements

  • Performances

  • Presentations

  • Publications/Publishments

To submit an accomplishment for a member of the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, fill out the online form or visit the UNLV News Center and navigate to the “Submit” section of the site’s menu.

Be sure to list “Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV” under the “Campus Units” section of the form to ensure proper categorization.

Articles/Releases

Articles and releases are stories about things happening on campus. These pieces are written by the university’s editorial team or by the communications teams within individual schools or colleges.

The Experts Directory connects community organizations and journalists with the engaging speakers and subject experts among our faculty and staff.

In The News items are articles and segments where UNLV is covered in national and local media outlets.

These mentions are usually discovered and tagged by the university’s media relations team. If you or someone from your department has been featured in the media but is not listed on the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine In The News page, please reach out to media.relations@unlv.edu.
