If the calendar event you want to update was created by someone else, they will need to give you permission to modify the event.

The organizer of the event will need to check the “Modify event” box under Guest permissions. They can do this when creating the event, or can edit the event by following the same steps listed below.

Edit your event

Click on the event on Google Calendar and click the pencil “edit” icon.

This will open the full event edit page. Make the appropriate changes.

Click Save when finished.

Change your event’s room location

Click on the event on Google Calendar and click the pencil “edit” icon.

Find the room listed on the right-hand side near guests. Click the X next to the existing room.

Click Rooms and search for your new room. Select the new room.

Accurate room listings:

Ensure the appropriate room name is now listed on your event.

Click Save.

Your event has been updated.
