Please note that this is not the same app as the Webex Meetings app, which you are likely used to using for Webex virtual meetings. This is a separate app with separate login credentials.
Although this guide uses iOS screenshots, the setup process is very similar on Android devices.
1 | In your device’s app store, search for Webex. Please note that this app is not the same as Webex for Meetings, which is used for Webex virtual meetings. You can also scan this QR code with your device’s camera to quickly access the app in the app store. Install the application, and launch it once complete.
2 | Upon launching the app, you will see a Welcome screen. Tap Get Started.
3 | Enter the email address provided to you for your Cox Phone account and tap Next. Please note that this is NOT your UNLV email address. This is a different Cox email address that is tied to your phone number only and is a separate account from your Webex Meetings account.
4 | The Cox Business login page will load. You MUST log into the Cox Business Portal and change your password immediately upon receiving it, or after having it reset by SOM IT.❌ You will lock yourself out of your account if you try logging into the Webex app without changing your password first. ❌Enter the password for your Cox account and tap Submit.
5 | Upon initial setup, the app will show you tutorial screens regarding some of the app’s features. You will want to allow Notifications and use of the microphone. |
