The Wi-Fi BYOD (bring your own device) wireless networks are provided for employees and students to connect their personal devices. It’s These networks are offered at all School of Medicine and UNLV Health locations and provides provide you with internet access only.The use of the employee wireless network is restricted to UNLV Health or SOM devices.
Your SOM account (previously referred to as UNLVMed account) is used for BYOD Wi-Fi access. This username is (typically) firstname.lastname

NOTE: Anytime your SOM password is changed, whether you change it on your own or have it reset by the SOM Help Desk, you must update the credentials on any devices previously connected to the BYOD Wi-Fi. Failing to do so will result in your account being locked due to the device providing a now incorrect password. On your device, forget the network completely, then reconnect with your username and new password. |
